Killarnée Civil & Concrete Contractors place an extremely high value on the environment of which the community preserves, lives and works in. Killarnée recognises that all human activity including construction works have some form of impact on the environment. However the way Killarnée approaches construction work is planned and undertaken with the primary aim to be as ‘low impact’ as possible. Killarnée takes a leading role on site to ensure that the surrounding pristine ecosystems, of which a typical project is located in, are maintained in their original condition.

• Continuing to seek, evaluate and use, when appropriate, new technologies and methodologies that enhance the ability to conduct operations in a manner that reduces the environmental footprint of the company
• Increasing efficiency by adopting a reduce, reuse and recycle approach, where practicable, in all operations and activities
• Establishing measurable objectives and targets through HSE plans to ensure continual improvement

Implementation

• Establishing, reviewing and communicating environmental measures and correcting deficiencies to optimise outcomes
• Continuously reviewing and amending policies, procedures and processes
• Engaging suitably qualified, skilled and experienced people and investing in training and professional development to continually improve the company’s capability
• Investing in plant and equipment
• Working with clients, contractors and suppliers to exceed their expectations

This policy applies to all Killarnée Civil & Concrete Contractors personnel, contractors and other personnel involved in activities pertaining to all Killarnée Civil & Concrete Contractors endeavours.

The Managing Director and General Manager are committed to ensuring Killarnée Civil & Concrete Contractors maintains a quality assurance system based on AS/NZS ISO 14001-2004.
